Paula’s House

Like Cath’s Bungalow, our quaint cottage was built in the 1920′s.  This means it has quirks like not having a dishwasher, or when we moved in, having a platform for a wood burning stove, and having a chimney with no fireplace.

When we first saw the house I didn’t even want to look at it because I thought the porch was Atrocious! Why is it all glassed in?  Why are there sliding doors instead of lovely white rails?  But Jim Dear convinced me to go inside.  And then it happened, we fell in love with the house.  It was a perfect house for us and we signed on the line.

It’s a lovely home, if you can get past the quirks, and that is exactly what we’re trying to do.  Step by step, a little at a time, turn the quirks into the quaint cottage of our dreams.
